- You should bring about $40 (not including ticket) if you don’t plan to buy any sort of merch. Food is hella expensive and you don’t want to dehydrate. If you plan to buy merch, bring at least $100 for the day. It’s better to bring more $$$ than to regret not getting something. Keep money in your bra or somewhere secure, you do not want to lose it.
- Unless you live in an extremely cold state, wear light clothing. I suggest a shirt and shorts, and if you’re a girl, wear a bikini under because it will be HOT. Wear sneakers. No one gives a crap what you’re wearing so don’t come in flats or slippers. Wear old, comfortable converse/ vans/ athletic shoes. Your feet will thank you at the end of the day. Keep your hair in a ponytail and no makeup. This is not a beauty competition, and you will just sweat it off at the end of the day anyways. Don’t wear any jewelry, unless it’s relatively small.
- Take sunscreen, money, your ticket (!!!), cell phone, a little bit of food, a camera (no professional ones), cheap sunglasses, and a bag to keep your stuff in. Take one of those draw-string bags, so no one robs you, lol. Bring a bottle of water (they only allow one) and keep an extra cap in your shoe because they take off the cap.
- You should have a lot of fun. Come early. I’d suggest buying the schedule because it’s easier & it only costs a couple dollars. If you’re going with friends & you plan on splitting up (which you will, trust me), plan to meet somewhere at a certain time. Eat when you’re hungry & drink lots of WATER. Not soda or alcohol. WATER. Reapply sunscreen often because you will get horrible tans/ sunburn. Make a list of bands (in order) you are dying to see because there’s a good chance that two of your favorite bands will be playing at the same time. Stay twitter updated, meet bands, buy merch!, make sure if you see a crowdsurfer, catch them, don’t let them fall. If you don’t want to mosh, go to the back or to the sides. Don’t be a p*ssy and scream when you get hit, no one likes that. Oh & look at the ground when you’re watching because people might have dropped money or something.
- There will be people ages 60 and age 6. Some people might be a bit rude if you bump into them or whatever, but it just depends on the people. Everyone comes for the music, not to start a fight. I’m sure you’ll see a lot of sceney weenies since the lineup has been changed a bit over the past decade.
- Meet bands. There’s no fee to meet/ get stuff signed by a band. The lines will be really long, like an hour long, but if you really like them it’ll be worth it.
- In your car, keep food, water, blankets, and a fresh set of clothes. On your way home, you will be a sweaty mess and you’ll feel extremely sore & tired. In the car, you can change, eat if your hungry, and then fall asleep, lol.
